Conference Theme

From Anticipation to Action: Building Climate-Resilient Health Systems

The conference focuses on the critical intersection of climate extremes, disaster risk reduction, and human health. We aim to bridge the gap between climate science and public health practice, moving from forecasting risks to implementing effective interventions.

As climate change accelerates, extreme weather events are becoming more frequent and severe, with profound implications for human health. This conference will address the urgent need for anticipatory action, adaptive strategies, and resilient health systems that can withstand climate-related shocks.

We will explore how early warning systems, predictive modeling, and community-based approaches can reduce vulnerability and enhance preparedness. The conference will also examine the equity dimensions of climate impacts, recognizing that marginalized communities bear the greatest burden of climate-related health risks.

Key Topics

  • Extreme Climatic Events, Early Warnings and Early Actions
  • Climate-related Infectious Disease Dynamics
  • Anticipatory Actions for Natural Hazards and Health
  • Food and Water Security in a Changing Climate
  • Climate Migration and Health
  • Policy Frameworks for Climate Resilient Health
